Team MK is much ado about Shakespeare. We are kicking off April by exploring the language, wit, and drama of Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice. Students will read the play aloud in class and discuss and write about themes of justice, mercy, equity, friendship, love, and filial duty. Plus, we will learn some fun Elizabethan insults-- if you are suddenly called a “scurvy, doting, most villainous knave”-- well, the “obstinate young start-ups” learned it in English class.
